Continuous Commissioning

A concept whose time has come is “Continuous commissioning”. Large facilities have full-time specialists. Smaller facilities have part-time maintenance to keep things running and outsource as needed. But on many mid-size properties, neither of these approaches works well.

Technology has brought us new efficiencies and opportunities. The Internet and newer BAS systems allow inexpensive remote “continuous commissioning”. It is a genuine value proposition when linked to tenant satisfaction and the bottom line. as time goes on, owners of quality smaller buildings will consider this an essential insurance plan on their income stream.
