Developments like whipsawing energy prices, global warming, and ‘peak oil’ are making our jobs more important than ever. And with the various financial and real asset bubbles deflating, we are in a serious recession like none we have seen before. Seems like another way of running into the limits of growth, this time in intangibles.

On the other hand, nanotechnology, digital electronics, lighting, and the will to use them, make me confident that we are entering a new age where integrated HVAC, lighting ,and architectural design are both feasible and commonplace.
